Top of the Morning:

You will receive an email from Shannon shortly that will invite you to view and/or add pictures to a new website we created to store pictures from past and future Irish Opens. This email will include a link to gain access to the site. Everyone can view pictures in the album even if you don't have an account with Shutterfly and you can even forward the link to others that I may have accidentally excluded. If you want to add pictures, which really is the point of my sending this to you, you will need to sign up for an account with Shutterfly.  Shutterfly accounts are free and easy to establish. All you need to provide is your email address and create a password.  It is completely free and will take you less than a couple minutes to set it up  Shutterfly is very good about not sending you emails if you opt out of their notifications for deals and promotions. Shannon has had an account with them since about 2002 and we have used them for our invites for the past several years.

If you haven't used this site, Most of you have probably used a site similar to Shutterfly to store or share photos and the instructions are pretty easy to follow.  Just in case you need additional assistance, I have summarized the actions with step by step instructions below.

We have had a lot of fun over the years and many of you have paused to take snap a couple of shots along the way. We think it would be fun to compile them in one place for all of us to review, relive and enjoy.

*When you receive the email, click the link and it will take you to the site that we have established. For your convenience, the link is:
www.richardmoriartyirishopenpictures.shutterfly.com

*Again, you will be able to VIEW any of the albums on site without needing a Shutterfly account.

*If you would like to add pictures or order prints/products, you must have an account with Shutterfly
.

*Click the option for "Add Pictures"
*if you have an account it will ask you to sign in
*if you do not have an account, click "Join Shutterfly"

*After you sign up/sign in, a window will pop up asking if you want to upload pictures to an existing album or if you want to create your own. Either is acceptable.

*Click the tab at the top of the pop up window that reads "Upload"

*Click on "Choose Files...". You will then be asked to identify the directories and file(s) where your pictures see located on your PC. Select the picture(s) you would like to upload then click "Select". More than one picture can be selected at one time. You will then be brought back to the pop out window where you will click "Upload Pictures". The amount of timeittakes to upload the photos will depend on the size of the photo, the quality of the photo, the number of photos you selected for upload as well as your Internet connection.

*Once all files/photos are marked "Complete" the pop up window will either close for your you can close manually depending on the web browser you use.

At this point the photos will have been successfully uploaded and you will be able to view them. When you click on the photo you will be able to name the photo, provide a brief description of the photo and list the people in the photo by name.  You will also be able to provide that persons email address to notify them that they have been included in the album.

Additionally, once you have a Shutterfly account, you will be able to upload a photo(s) by emailing it to one of the following albums:

2009 Pictures
richardmoriartyirishopenpictures.27@sfly.com

2010 Pictures
richardmoriartyirishopenpictures.210@sfly.com

Again, you will need an account to do this and you need to email the photo from the email account that you use as your email for Shutterfly and you need to have some thing in the Subject line. This is a great option for pictures you take on your phone and want to upload immediately.

We would love this to be a site that everybody enjoys watching.  Please don't upload any pictures that might be offensive to others - remember most of the varsity players were in the j.v. for a period of time and people that live in glass houses should not throw stones!!!

Looking forward to seeing everyone.  By the way, if you are looking to observe the Moriarty Jug - it still resides at Red's Bar.

Todd
